The telescopic butterfly valve has the characteristics of simple structure, small size, light weight, low material consumption, small installation size, fast switch, 90° reciprocating rotation, small driving torque, etc., and is used to cut, turn on and adjust the medium in the pipeline, and has good fluid control characteristics and closing sealing performance. When the telescopic butterfly valve is in the fully open position, the thickness of the telescopic butterfly valve is the only resistance when the medium flows through the valve body, so the pressure drop generated by the valve is very small, so it has good flow control characteristics. There are two types of seals: elastic seal and metal seal. Elastomeric seal valves, the sealing ring can be embedded in the valve body or attached to the perimeter of the butterfly plate.

Telescopic butterfly valves with metal seals generally have a longer life than elastomeric sealed valves, but it is difficult to achieve a complete seal. Metal seals can accommodate higher operating temperatures, while elastomeric seals have the disadvantage of being limited by temperature. If telescopic butterfly valves are required to be used for flow control, the main thing is to choose the correct size and type of valve. The structural principle of telescopic butterfly valves is particularly suitable for the production of large-diameter valves. Worm gear drive telescopic butterfly valve is not only widely used in general industries such as petroleum, gas, chemical industry, water treatment, etc., but also used in the cooling water system of thermal power station.

There are three commonly used telescopic butterfly valves: clamp butterfly valve, flange butterfly valve and butt-welded butterfly valve. The clamp butterfly valve is to connect the valve between the two pipe flanges with stud bolts; Flanged butterfly valve is a valve with a flange, and the flanges at both ends of the valve are connected to the pipeline flange with bolts; The two ends of the butt welded butterfly valve are welded with the pipeline. The streamlined design of the butterfly plate makes the fluid resistance loss small, which can be described as an energy-saving product. The valve stem is a through-rod structure, which has been quenched and tempered, and has good comprehensive mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and scratch resistance. When the butterfly valve is opened and closed, the valve stem only rotates and does not lift and fall, and the packing of the valve stem is not easy to be damaged, and the sealing is reliable. It is fixed with the cone pin of the butterfly plate, and the overhanging end is designed to prevent the valve stem from collapsing when the connection between the valve stem and the butterfly plate is accidentally broken.

Worm gear drive telescopic butterfly valve features:

1. Small and lightweight, easy to disassemble and maintain, and can be installed in any position.

2. The structure is simple and compact, the operating torque is small, and the 90-degree rotation opens quickly.

3. The flow characteristics tend to be straight, and the adjustment performance is good.

4. The connection between the butterfly plate and the valve stem adopts a pinless structure, which overcomes the possible internal leakage point.

5. The seals are replaceable, and the sealing is reliable to achieve two-way sealing.

6. The butterfly board can be sprayed according to user requirements, such as nylon or PTFE.

7. The valve can be designed as a flange connection and a clamp connection.

8. The driving mode can be manual, electric or pneumatic.
